PATENTS

The research projects and branded products of SELO Medical GmbH are protected by international patents and trademarks.

Based on the strong antioxidative properties of DEFLAMIN®, SELO Medical has performed many laboratory and clinical tests to better understand its mechanism of action.

The results of these tests prove that the antioxidative effect of DEFLAMIN® is not a metabolic one, but one with a strong biophysical effect, limited to topical applications like the intra-vaginal application, branded as DeflaGyn® Vaginal Gel.


FOCUS ON RESEARCH

SELO Medical GmbH focuses on physical effects such as:

  • adsorption behaviour of highly dispersed silicon dioxide (SiO2)
  • antioxidant properties of a patented formula called DEFLAMIN®, a combination of sodium selenite and citric acid

The technical implementation of these physical effects in therapeutic applications forms the core of the scientific know-how of SELO Medical GmbH.
